Dead Space

Dead Space is the scariest game ever made. You are not safe at any point in the game and when you think you might be you hear strange whispers and singing! There is so much detail in this game; just look at what the first letter of the chapter names spell out if you don’t think so (it’s a spoiler if you haven’t played the game yet). I think back to each stage and shiver, the medical deck, the mining deck, the first level, the crashed military ship…EEK! Everything from the Alien Franchise to Lovecraft influenced the various Necromorphs (A.K.A. Dead Transformers) which haunt your steps as you try to survive as Is there something behind me?mute Engineer Isaac Clarke. On that note even Clarke looks kind of spooky in his engineer suit; especially when you upgrade to the next one at a store! Although you spend most of the time terrified when you do have to fight the controls, enemy A.I. and level designs make it horrifyingly good fun! If you die fighting? well expect it to be completely disturbing in the best way! Oh yeah and let’s not forget the twist ending which is a total mind fuck on your first play through despite all the subtle hints towards it. The only negative to this game is that you have to play it in the dark for the full experience. If you want to stay alive keep your head on swivel and always enter rooms with your Plasma Cutter ready!

10 out of 10 Bigbluebullfrog Leaps!

Now on to Dead Space 2! How do you find Dead Space 2? I hope you like it better than the first Dead Space!

I like Dead Space 2 a lot! Maybe the word love would be better but I like Dead Space 1 just a smidge more! I shall write a review of 2 soon though!
