Romney Gets Narrow Victory

When the results of the week-long Maine Caucuses being tabulated on Saturday, Mitt Romney got about 39.6% of the total vote, barely edging runner-up Ron Paul who goy a little over 36% of the vote. The caucuses were held between February 4^th and 11^th wuth a few beginning in late January. The contest was open only to registered Republicans, although independents and unregistered voters were able to register as Republicans to participate. The delegates for this conference are non-binding per the Caucus results, but will be allocated a later conference.

The next Republican primary contests will be held in Arizona nad Michigan on February 28^th.
